eToro, a retail trading platform, has halted the ability for customers in the United States to purchase Algorand (ALGO), Decentraland (MANA), Polygon (MATIC), and Dash (DASH). This decision was made in response to recent legal actions by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that categorized these tokens as securities.
eToro US, in a Twitter thread on June 12, explained that it had conducted a thorough assessment of its cryptocurrency offerings considering the evolving regulatory environment and recent developments involving the SEC.
